1. Centrality of the Word of God
2. Theocentric (God-centered)
3. Dialogical (worship is a conversation between God and His people)
4. Simplicity
5. Reverence
Certainly, there are others that we could list (one of which is Christ-centered preaching), but these 5 are a good starting point for evaluating our worship.

Hi Kevin,
Hey, I just plugged into your blog. Nice work. I hope you keep it up.
I usually don't comment but I was wondering Hart's book.
Does he dialog about the Directory of Worship agreed upon by the Westminster Divines? In my opinion it is the most prominent and universal document of all time concerning the principles of reformed worship. I understand he is a Westminster Seminary guy.
Hi Rick...It's been quite a while since I've read Hart's book. I just grabbed it off my shelf the other day and started thumbing through it. I'm hoping to post more thoughts on the book in the days to come.
Okay, thanks!
